Passage: Read John 2 v 1-10.
Let's start by defining life. Truthfully, I haven't come across a definition that best describes what life constitutes. One thing that's typical of life is that it's made up of situations, and we pretty much can't escape them. That's the highlight of today's manna.
So we've concluded that we can't escape the situations that life throws at us, the question is how do we react and resolve them. In the world today there are many suggestions as to how to get by the situations of life. For example someone who has problems with drugs goes to rehab. Another example could include a person finding it hard to sustain his/her family, take care of the kids, pay the bills, health insurance etc. It even includes brake ups and make ups, losing people and meeting new ones. These are common situations that people find themselves in. I have a suggestion, a solid recommendation for any solution to your situation. That's Jesus.
Let's look at John 2 v 1-10 closely;
In the passage, we read about the way Jesus changed water into wine. Imagine being at your wedding with your guests all having a blast and suddenly you run out of food... now that's a real situation right there. However, it became a different situation because Jesus was there, and He didn't come on His own accord; the passage actually says that He was invited (verse 2).
Good news people, no matter the situation you might find yourself in, be it boyfriend or girlfriend issues, family concerns and matters, all you need to do is invite Jesus into it and watch Him turn the situation into a different one. To some of you this may sound absurd, weird, impractical; a word of wisdom for you is to try it out before drawing conclusions. Do this by asking Jesus into your life and situation, then wait and see the results.
Next time we'll talk about what comes next after you invite Jesus into your situation.
Stay Blessed.
